Black and white photograph of nurses and soldiers at Normanby Hall. A group of three nurses (including the Matron) and eighteen soldiers in the gardens of Normanby Park with the Hall behind them. Most of the soldiers are dressed in their service uniforms but there are two gentlemen wearing what appear to be large animal skin Artic explorer-style coats. The photograph appears to have been taken to the side of the sunken garden next to the outside wall of the 1906 ballroom extension, which was being used as a hospital ward at the time. The photograph has been pasted on to a faded grey (probably originally black) piece of paper, which appears to have been torn out of a photograph album. At the bottom of the picture is written in ink, 'Normanby Park. 1915'.
