Light turquoise / mint green hat in a turban style with no brim. The hat is constructed of straw which is nipped together at the centre to form two dipped sections at either side. Finely pleated chiffon runs from the centre front to the top centre, and also from each side to disappear under the front pleated chiffon panel. Tucked into the centre top are lengths of chiffon tubes, which narrow at the loose ends almost to a point, and give the appearance of feathers of fronds of seaweed. The hat has a narrow chiffon covered band around the front and sides which overlaps at the front. Inside, the hat is lined with beige acetate and finished with a green grosgrain ribbon.
