Minerva Wax Spatula Handle
Description
Copper alloy wax spatula helmet in the form of the head and shoulders of Minerva wearing a military helmet. Spatulas were used to smooth the wax on wooden writing tablets. Minerva appears here in her goddess of literacy guise.
